FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Understanding the research and recovery process.
These answers explain Verdin Research’s general role. They are not legal advice and may not describe the procedure in every jurisdiction.
What are excess funds?
In some property-related proceedings, money can remain after required obligations and authorized distributions are paid. The rules governing who may claim remaining funds and how claims are handled vary by jurisdiction and circumstances.
Does Verdin Research guarantee that I have funds?
No. Research may identify a potential match, but the existence of funds, claimant identity, entitlement, documentation requirements, and recovery must all be verified.
Is Verdin Research a law firm?
No. Verdin Research LLC is a research and recovery-support company and does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
Will I always need an attorney?
Not necessarily. Requirements differ by jurisdiction and by the facts of a matter. When legal services are appropriate, an independent attorney may be engaged under a separate agreement.
Why would I use Verdin Research instead of doing it myself?
Some claimants choose assistance because identifying records, confirming a claim, assembling documentation, tracking deadlines and navigating unfamiliar procedures can take substantial time.
What information should I submit?
A prior property address, your full name, contact information, and any notice, sale, estate, or case information you have can help us start the research process.
Do you charge to submit an inquiry?
There is no charge merely to submit the online research inquiry. Any later service terms should be presented separately before you agree to proceed.
